Design & Technology Workshops

In June 2007 the CLC marked Design & Technology Week by inviting schools in the city to participate in a selection of practical workshops over three days. 

The event saw Year 8 students from nine schools across Liverpool fill the CLC to the brim and the feedback was unanimous - It was great !

The workshops were delivered by a mixture of D&T teachers from around the city who ran innovative and exciting sessions.  Students were introduced to technologies using Laser cutting, Dye Sublimation, shown the best use of digital photography in Food Technology and the use of a Vinyl Cutter in graphics.   

With such a successful event we are now considering making this a regular feature of our D&T calendar.  A comment from one of our teachers also means we shall be looking at offering teacher workshops - Why should the students have all the fun !
