Qualification Opportunities

The CLC can offer students access to different ICT based training courses, some offering qualifications on completion. These include:

ECDL

The European Computer Driving Licence The European Computer Driving Licence® (ECDL) is the internationally recognised qualification which enables people to demonstrate their computer skills. The ECDL Course is designed to give people the fundamental knowledge which is needed when working with IT on a daily basis. As part of this qualification you will cover the following:

  • Basic concepts of IT 
  • Using the computer and managing files
  • Word processing
  • Spreadsheets
  • Database
  • Presentation
  • Information and communication

eDCC

The eDCC computer certification scheme is a method of assessing and certifying basic computer literacy skills in various computer applications. Certificates are awarded for qualifications gained at three levels of attainment: beginner, intermediate and advanced.  The courses on offer include:

  • Digital Photography
  • Video Production
  • Flash
  • Image Editing
  • Internet Browsing plus many more
